8 are facing charges for various offenses

Eight people face criminal charges for various offenses, according to court records.

Those charged and the departments involved were:

Leanna M. Applegate, 32, of 1573 Northway Road; state police; reckless endangerment and a firearm violation for allegedly pointing a handgun at Amanda McEwen outside of Applegate’s home following a disturbance around 10:50 p.m. March 23; released on $10,000 bail.

Karrie Ann Johnson, 23, of 2381 Route 405 Lot 94, Muncy; state police; access device fraud, theft and retail theft for allegedly taking $500 from Shawna Brooke Turner and Corey Lee Kishbaugh’s credit account; received summons to appear before a district judge.

Kenneth O’Brien, 31, of Lindenhurst, New York; Muncy police; falsification to authorities and a firearms violation for allegedly writing inaccurate information on an Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms form when he applied to purchase a shotgun; released on $25,000 bail.

Malika S. Henderson, 21, of 6454 Route 405, Muncy; state police; harassment by prisoner for allegedly spitting, kicking and resisting corrections officers and biting one on the hand around 5:30 p.m. March 7; recommitted in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Amber Joy Smith, of 750 First St.; city police; theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing a neighbor’s package including $100 cash; was sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

Kristin Anne Britton, 25, of 684 Beeber St.; city police; defiant trespass, harassment, disorderly conduct for allegedly entering her ex-boyfriend’s home at 2510 Linn St. during a dispute around 5 p.m. March 14; was sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

Heather April Cioffi, 43, of 1423 Park Ave.; city police; robbery, possession of a weapon, simple assault and receiving stolen property for allegedly robbing the Uni-Mart around 1:30 a.m. May 11; committed in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Cory Michael McStay, 21, of 225 Washington Blvd.; city police; simple assault and harassment for alleged involvement in an incident May 8; released on $7,500 bail.
