9 people face various charges
Nine people have been charged with various offenses, according to court records. Those charged and the police departments involved were:
Nancy Carol Reynolds, 73, of 2856 Bottle Run Road; Montoursville police; felony shoplifting after she was caught allegedly trying to steal $186 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart, 1015 N. Loyalsock Ave., on May 8; free on $10,000 bail; already has five shoplifting convictions.
Dakota Joe Fisher, 37, of 1523 W. Fourth St.; city police; simple assault and harassment for allegedly punching his sister several times in the chest in the 1500 block of West Fourth Street on May 6; jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail.
Dean Mikel Ludwig, 23, of 105 Mountain View Drive, Jersey Shore, and Ashley Marie Davis, 20, of Rumberger Road, Loganton; state police; prostitution for alleged acts in the 2900 block of Lycoming Creek Road on April 20; both sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
Howard W. Mathews, 51, of 652 Krouse Ave.; Montoursville police; felony shoplifting for allegedly stealing a total of $3,000 worth of merchandise from the Weis Markets at 801 N. Loyalsock Ave. and 1916 Lycoming Creek Road between March 14 and May 3; released on $5,000 bail.
Jonathan Thomas Adams, 27, of 58 Old Slacks Road, Trout Run; state police; cruelty to animals and attempted to cruelty of animals for allegedly shooting to death one dog and attempting to shoot a second after the two animals, which belonged to a neighbor, were in his chicken coop on March 29; released on $7,500 bail.
Joseph Michael Morehart, 34, of 802 Wildwood Blvd.; Pennsylvania College of Technology police; theft by deception and receiving stolen property for allegedly selling a calculator that was on loan to him by the school’s bookstore on March 23; released on $5,000 bail.
Gerald James Dick, 41, of 101 Boak Ave., Hughesville; state police; failure to register as a convicted sex offender when he moved to the Boak Avenue address from the 2100 block of Lower Bodines Road, Lewis Township, in the first two months of the year; released on $7,500 bail.
Jason Lee Trew, 40, of 251 N. Main St., Montgomery; state police; making unsworn falsification to authorities and illegal transfer of a firearm for allegedly putting down false information on a federal form when he attempted to purchase a handgun at Troxell’s, 2715 Lycoming Creek Road, on Dec. 4; released on $15,000 bail.
