2, in separate cases, accused of stealing from employers

PENNSDALE – Two men in separate cases have been charged with allegedly stealing from their employers, according to Muncy Township police.

Kyle Lee Jones, 26, of 935 Meade St., Williamsport, allegedly stole $6,800 from Tractor Supply Co., 42 Eastern Mall Drive, between mid-January and last month, police said.

Jones is accused of submitting “49 fraudulent returns” using fictitious names for customers and then “pocketing” the cash, police said.

Arraigned last week before District Judge Jon E. Kemp on charges of felony theft and receiving stolen property, Jones, on probation for driving under the influence of intoxicants, remains in the Lycoming County Prison on a probation violation and in lieu of $35,000 bail.

In the other case, Frank Joseph Herrero, 25, formerly of the 1700 block of Randall Circle, allegedly stole more than $500 worth of merchandise from Petco, 320 S. Lycoming Mall Road, by submitting fraudulent returns between mid-October and mid-March, police said.

Charged with theft by deception, misdemeanor shoplifting and conspiracy, Herrero, of 338 Adams St., Williamsport, has been sent a summons to appear before Kemp.

His roommate and fellow Petco employee, Adam Randall Post II, 21, already has been charged in the case with theft by deception, receiving stolen property and conspiracy for allegedly stealing $43 worth of merchandise from the store. He too was sent a summons.
