12 people face allegations for variety of crimes
Twelve people have been charged with various criminal offenses. Those charged and the police departments involved were:
Brian W. Murphy, 32, of 320 Oliver St., Jersey Shore; Tiadaghton Valley Regional police; fugitive from justice; taken into custody in the 100 block of Bridge Street in the borough on Saturday on a warrant from Ridley Township police, Delaware County, charges his with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and related offenses; jailed in lieu of $35,000 bail.
Kevin A. Garb, 27, of 1920 Walters Road, Loyalsock Township; state police; simple assault and harassment for allegedly striking his brother, Jason, at Kevin’s home on Aug. 27; jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Heath C. Pfirman, 41, of 541 E. Seventh Ave., South Williamsport; South Williamsport police; terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment for allegedly terrorizing his wife, Renee and their daughter as he threw a machete at a wall in a bedroom and grabbed a large knife during a domestic disturbance at the family’s home on Aug. 24; jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail; also charged with disorderly conduct; in another case, Pfirman, also was charged with making unsworn falsification to authorities for allegedly submitting false information on a government form when he attempted to purchase a firearm at Sauer’s Trading Post, 1100 W. Southern Ave., on March 16; jailed in this case in lieu of an additional $75,000 bail.
Susan A. Gebhart, 51, of 36 Bower St., Montgomery; Montgomery police; simple assault and endangering the welfare of child for allegedly assaulting her 8-year-old granddaughter at her home on Aug. 13; sent a summons to appear before a district judge; victim treated at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Brian W. Gawblick, 44, of 244 Rosser Lane, South Williamsport; Tiadaghton Valley Regional police; stalking and possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly stalking Natasha DeCapria in the 100 block of North Main Street on July 21; released on $10,000 bail.
David Lee Herb Jr., 39, of Montgomery; state police; simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly spanking his 10-year-old son that resulted in causing “significant bruising on his buttocks” on July 20; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
Frank J, Miller, 64, of Eagles Mere; Montoursville police; misdemeanor shoplifting and theft by deception for allegedly stealing $159 worth of merchandise from Lowe’s, 701 N. Loyalsock Ave., and then turning around and returning the items to receive a gift card from the business on June 12; released on $2,500 bail.
Loniqua Chekelle Howell, 32, of 317 Brandon Ave.; city police; accidents involving damage to attended vehicle and driving with an expired license following a hit-and-run crash at Washington Boulevard and Packer Street on June 12; released on $2,500 bail.
Wendy R. Gehr, 56, of 1022 W. Bald Eagle Alley, South Williamsport; South Williamsport police; hindering the apprehension of a fugitive after allegedly giving false information to a constable who was looking for fugitive Vanessa Weaver on April 25; Gehr told the officer Weaver was not in her (Gehr’s) house when in fact she was; released on $5,000 bail.
Samuel Joseph Bozochovic Jr., 35, of 1501 Lafayette Parkway; city police; burglary, simple assault and related offenses for allegedly assaulting James Vanderveer in his apartment in the 300 block of Church Street on Jan. 25; co-defendant and brother Daniel Scott Bozochovic, 32, of 1812 Cemetery St.; charged with simple assault and conspiracy; both released on $2,500 bail each.
Shank Bernard Valentine, 38, of 1545 Northway Road; state police; theft and access device fraud for allegedly stealing $790 and two gift cards from Rozane Finn’s purse while in her home at 1560 Northway Road on Sept. 21; jailed in lieu of $7,500 bail.
