Muncy Creek Twp. woman is facing 2 sets of charges

MUNCY — Loriann Grochala faces two sets of charges following two incidents, including one in which she allegedly provided wine coolers to a 14-year-old girl and gave the teen a tattoo without first getting permission from the girl’s parents, state police allege

The alleged incident with the teen occurred at the 45-year-old Grochala’s Muncy Creek Township home at 1036 Chippewa Road sometime between June 20 and June 30, when the teen was visiting the house, police said.

Grochala has been charged with corrupting the morals of a minor, furnishing alcohol to a minor and the tattoo violation, all misdemeanors.

In the second case, the woman has been charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and careless driving in the 1300 block of East Penn Street in Muncy Creek Township about 4:45 a.m.  July 19, state police said. Her blood-alcohol level was .12, police said.

Grochala has been sent a summons to appear for two preliminary hearings before District Judge Jon E. Kemp.
