Parents accused of letting toddler wander streets

A mother and father face charges after they allowed their toddler child to wander out of their apartment and go unsupervised on morning of May 29, according to Montoursville police.

Michael Lee Kreger, 26, and Rebecca Lynn Jordun, 21, both have been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and possession of drug paraphernalia following the incident that began after a neighbor alerted police to the child standing alone in a yard about 7:40 a.m.

An officer took the child and soon learned that the child had wandered out of 368 1/2 Broad St.

When he entered the apartment, Kreger and Jordun were both there, police said. “There was a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside” the apartment and there was paraphernalia in plain view.

Kreger, now living at 803 W. Third St., and Jordun, now living at 4804 Route 287, Jersey Shore, were arraigned before District Gary A. Whiteman and released on $2,500 bail each.
