4 to appear in district court

ELKLAND — Four people either have appeared or will appear before District Judge James Edgcomb to face various charges.

• Brooke B. Knickerbocker, 28, of 41 Mystic View Lane, Lawrenceville, faces charges of simple assault and harassment in connection with an alleged assault against a 7-year-old, leaving a red mark on the child’s body Oct. 11. She was issued a summons to appear at a Dec. 1 preliminary hearing.

• Douglas D. Silvernail, 27, of 204 Mitchell Creek Road faces charges of harassment after he allegedly sent text messages containing lewd and threatening language to the victim several times on Oct. 10. He was issued a summons to appear at a Nov. 17 preliminary hearing.

• Destiny M. Richline, 19, of 3706 Cory Lane Road, Columbia Crossroads, faces charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and use and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop by state police on Route 287 Oct. 14. She was issued a summons to appear at a Dec. 1 preliminary hearing.

• Cabel J. Witt, 22, of 4 Park St., Tioga, was charged with DUI following a traffic stop by Westfield borough police in Westfield borough Sept. 16. He was released on bail and his preliminary hearing set for Nov. 17.
