4 face charges in Tioga County District Court

MANSFIELD — Four people either have appeared or will appear before District Judge James Carlson to face charges in District Court here.

They are:

• Jeremy C. Niles, 29, of 866 Darling Run Road, Wellsboro, faces charges of retail theft. State police said on Dec. 13, Niles took a men’s thermal shirt valued at $10 from the Richmond Township Wal-Mart, and put it inside his jacket and attempted to leave the store without paying for it. Niles has a prior a retail theft arrest March 8, 2013. He was issued a summons to appear at a Feb. 8 preliminary hearing.

• Sherri M. Oswald, 34, of 260 Pheasant Hill Road, Wellsboro, faces charges of retail theft. State police said on Dec. 30 she took a container of Gain Laundry Boost, valued at $9 from the Richmond Township Wal-Mart and attempted the leave the store without paying for it. She has two prior retail theft arrests, one on Aug. 21, 2005, and one on March 25, 2015. She was jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail and her preliminary hearing held Jan. 4.

• Paul D. Solomon Jr., 19, of Philadelphia, faces charges of retail theft. State police said on Dec. 10, Solomon took assorted items totaling $162, and fled the store without paying along with Clay R. Jones, who was previously charged with retail theft. They placed the items in the car and went back inside to get more. Jones had $319 worth of merchandise and Solomon had $162 worth of merchandise. Solomon was issued a summons to appear at a Jan. 11 preliminary hearing.

• Paul M. Losinger, 35, of 581 Vailtown Road, Liberty, faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of intoxicants after he crashed his car at Route 414 in Union Township Nov. 1. State police said he had 13 empty heroin baggies, a syringe, a spoon, and a small plastic baggie. He was issued a summons to appear at a Jan. 11 preliminary hearing.
