Police: 6 face various criminal charges

Six people have been charged with various criminal offenses, according to court records. Those charged and the police departments involved were:

• Logan Michael Embick, 31, of Loganton; state police; six counts of recklessly endangering and related offenses for allegedly smashing out the driver’s window of a vehicle driven by Jeremy Reinhart with a baseball bat in the 9700 block of Narrows Road in Clinton County’s Logan Township about 7:30 p.m. Saturday; Embick was standing in the road and stopped the vehicle; there were six passengers in the vehicle, including five minors ranging in age from infancy to 6; jailed at the Clinton County Prison in lieu of bail; also charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

• Joseph Louis Walker Jr., 38, of 821 1/2 Park Ave.; city police; terroristic threats for allegedly threatening his ex-wife, Angela Shannon, by telling her, “I will burn this whole place down to the ground,” and “I will kill you, and I want my kids to know,” following a disturbance at 2107 W. Third St., on Feb. 9; released on $7,500 bail.

• Tina Marie Deeter, 52, of 349 Adams St.; Montoursville police; two counts of misdemeanor shoplifting after she was was nabbed allegedly trying to steal $255 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart, 1015 N. Loyalsock Ave., on Dec. 26; and allegedly stealing $269 worth of merchandise from Lowe’s, 701 N. Loyalsock Ave., on July 14; released on $5,000 bail.

• Matthew David Aber, 32, of 304 Smith St., Jersey Shore; Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police; making unsworn falsification to authorities and illegal transfer of a firearm after he allegedly put down false information on a document when he attempted to buy a gun at National Sporting Goods, 1241 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, on Nov. 11; released on $20,000 bail.

• Zyhiir Shabazz Dorsey, 20, of 911 High St.; city police; misdemeanor shoplifting at the Uni-Mart, 1037 High St., on May 15; released on $5,000 bail; this is his second shoplifting arrest.

• Rodney Carl Bates, 48, with multiple addresses from the city to York and currently an inmate at a state prison; state police; forgery and other related charges for allegedly forging and cashing a stolen check for $500 in September 2015; he attempted to cash another stolen check, but was stopped; the checks were stolen from Hazel Harris’ home on Wells Road in Limestone Township; jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.
