4 charged with various crimes in Tioga County

Four people have been charged with a variety of crimes in Tioga County.

Those charged and the police departments involved were:

• David Williamson Yurkovich, 32, of 36 Hickory Terrace, Wellsboro; Wellsboro Police Department; simple assault, harassment by physical contact and disorderly conduct allegedly towards his wife, Melanie Marie Yurkovich, on Monday at their home; released on $5,000 bail.

• Jenny Sue Painter, 48, of 21 Grant St., Wellsboro; Wellsboro Police Department; possession of a controlled substance, receiving stolen property, tampering with physical evidence for allegedly stealing two bottles of Oxycodone Hydrochloride and two Hydrocodone pills from Daniel and Jacquline Outman on Saturday on 17 Doan Hill Road, Chatham Township; jailed in lieu of $5,000.

• Jenny Sue Painter, 48, of 21 Grant St., Wellsboro; state police; theft and notice of change of address on Saturday on 17 Doan Hill Road, Chatham Township; allegedly stole 14 pills of Hydrocodone from Jacquiline Outman; jailed in lieu of $5,000.

• David Michael Clark, 47, of 46 Waln St., Wellsboro; Wellsboro Police Department; theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing five PlayStation 3 games belonging to Patrick Getgen on Feb. 2 at his home.

• Dylan Colby Mase, 33, of 815 Decoursey Road, Liberty; state police; theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing two catalytic converters from Joseph L. Guillaume on Jan. 16 at 10389 Route 414, Liberty.

7 are facing DUI charges

WELLSBORO — Seven motorists in Tioga County have been charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants or controlled substances.

Those charged and the police departments involved were:

• Christopher Allan Scholl, 25, of Corning, New York; Wellsboro Police Department; also charged with driving while license suspended or revoked on Tuesday on Central Avenue, Wellsboro.

• Jose Victor Ixcolin, 25, of Trenton, New Jersey; state police; also charged with driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked, limitation overtaking on the left, driving on roadways laned for traffic, driving vehicle at unsafe speed, careless driving and a vehicular hazard signal lamps violation along Route 15 northbound, Liberty Township; jailed in lieu of $10,000.

• Matthew James Kershner, 46, of 3076 Route 414 Highway, Jersey Mills; Wellsboro Police Department; also charged with failure to keep right, driving at unsafe speed and operating a vehicle without valid inspection on Feb. 12 on Charleston Street, Wellsboro.

• Maria Mae Scholl, 24, of Corning, New York; Wellsboro Police Department; also charged with careless driving on Feb. 11 on Tioga Street, Wellsboro.

• Cecil Gerald Cooper, 42, 4 W. End Road, Tioga; Mansfield Borough Police Department; also charged with driving at unsafe speed and careless driving on Feb. 5 at 1711 Spencer Road, Richmond Township.

• Zachary Edward Shaw, 19 of 159 Main St., Wellsboro; state police; also charged with careless driving, minor prohibited from operating with any alcohol in system, restriction on alcoholic beverages and periods for requiring lighted lamps on Jan. 7 along the 100 block on West Wellsboro Street, Mansfield.

• Benjamin Paul Benner, 24, of 2780 Hills Creek Road, Wellsboro; state police; also charged with registration card to be signed and exceeding maximum speed limits on Dec. 3 between the 1300 and 3200 block of Lambs Creek Road, Richmond Township.

1 sentenced in county court

WELLSBORO — One individual recently was sentenced in Tioga County Court.

Sentenced to Tioga County Prison was:

• Kerstyn M. Buck, 20, of Mansfield, 72 hours to six months, a $1,000 fine and driver’s license suspension for 12 months for driving under the influence.
