3 from area charged with various offenses

Three people have been charged with various criminal offenses, according to court records. Those charged and the police departments involved were:

• Harley James Zeigler, 29, of 804 Jobs Run Road, Jersey Shore; South Williamsport police; providing false information on a federal document when he attempted to purchase a firearm at Sauer’s Trading Post, 1100 W. Southern Ave., on Oct. 18; jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail.

• Anthony K. Shields, 26, of 510 S. Market St., South Williamsport; state police; resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief following an incident in the 1600 block of Sheridan Street in Loyalsock Township on Aug. 28; free on $10,000 bail.

• Motorist Jahreese M. Strickland, 20, of 1157 Park Ave.; city police; fleeing police, recklessly endangering. reckless driving and careless driving following a high-speed pursuit in the 1200 block of Memorial Avenue last May 25; jailed in lieu of $7,500 bail.
