Charges are filed against 11

Eleven people have been charged with various criminal charges, according to court records. Those charged and the police departments involved were:

• Stanley Erik Wheeler, 54, of 1195 Rose Valley Road, Cogan Station; aggravated assault, driving under the influence of intoxicants and related offenses for allegedly attempting to kick state Trooper Adam Kirk in the head, chest and right shoulder following an incident in the 4200 block of Bloomingrove Road in Hepburn Township on Thursday; jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.

• Aniya T. Dandy, 30, of 1609 Memorial Ave.; city police; felony shoplifting after she allegedly stole $216 worth of merchandise from Kohl’s, 251 William St., on May 15; jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail; also charged with giving a false identification to law enforcement.

• Scott Eugene Scaife, 53, of 721 Clark St.; Old Lycoming Township police; two felony counts of shoplifting for allegedly taking $17 worth of merchandise on May 6 and $27 worth of merchandise on May 9 at the Dollar General, 2062 Lycoming Creek Road; released on $15,000 bail.

• Nathan Kash Crist, 30, of 37 Edna Lane, Montgomery; city police; theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing an antique dresser from the back of his ex-girlfriend’s home at 2367 Hillside Ave., on Feb. 20; sent a summons to appear before a district judge; the victim was Lori Borick.

• Nicholas Darwin Brown, 34, of 2326 W. Fourth St. and owner of Lyco Fence Inc.; city police; home improvement fraud and theft by deception for accepting $3,600 from customer Jonathan Nelson in late February to install a fence at his home at 1017 Hepburn St. but he allegedly failed to do the project; released on $25,000 bail.

• Melanie L. Norman, 33, of 1643 Catherine St.; city police; recklessly endangering and endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly allowing another person, (Richard Seville, 27, already charged) to repeatedly beat with a belt a female minor who was under her care on Feb. 4; released on $5,000 bail.

• Joanna Joiner, 29, of 1107 Chester St.; Montoursville police; misdemeanor shoplifting and corrupting the morals of a minor for allegedly trying to steal $150 worth of merchandise from Wal-Mart, 1015 N. Loyalsock Ave., on Jan, 28; jailed in lieu of $7,500 bail; a minor assisted her in the attempted theft.

• Catharine Marie Guinn, 20, a court-order resident of Ashler Manor in Muncy Township; state police; escape for allegedly fleeing the facility on Dec. 27; jailed in lieu of $35,000 bail; no details were available about when and where she was captured.

• Dustin M. Jenkins, 24, of 229 College Ave.; Pennsylvania College of Technology police; furnishing alcohol to a person underage the age of 21 after he bought a bottle of rum from a liquor store and then provided it to 18-year-old Angel Medina on campus last Aug 20; released on $10,000 bail.

• Kwamaine D. Sampson, 31, of 43 Huffman St.; state Attorney General’s Office; two misdemeanor counts of insurance fraud for allegedly submitting false information on an insurance claim that she filed following a crash in the city on May 19, 2015.

• Kwaisi Noel Brotherson, 44, of Brooklyn, New York; state police; access device fraud for allegedly racking up $127 in charges on Brian Herr’s credit card account in January 2015; Herr lives on County View Lane in Fairfield Township; a bench warrant was expected to be filed after Brotherson failed to appear for his preliminary hearing last week.
