3-year-old hurt in crash is improving, police say

JERSEY SHORE — A 3-year-old boy hospitalized Monday afternoon following a one-vehicle crash behind his grandmother’s home on Old Fork Road is improving, according to Tiadaghton Valley Regional Police.

Upon checking with Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, an officer said the toddler “was going to be OK” and was believed to be in fair condition.

The child climbed into a family car and likely “pulled in out of gear,” causing it to careen down a hill and through a cornfield before in crashed into a tree and landed in a culvert.
