Rose Valley Rd fire displaces 2

TROUT RUN — A local couple was left homeless after a fire destroyed their living room and smoke damaged the rest of the home Friday evening.

According to Trout Run fire chief Robert Whitford, no one was injured in the fire, which had began and ended in the living room of the 9776 Rose Valley Road home. Smoke from the fire however, spread throughout and damaged the walls.

The couple who owned the home were displaced by the fire and will be staying with their family, according to Whitford.

The cause of the fire is not yet known but there currently is no suspicion of foul intent.

“Its under investigation, we are going to take an additional look when it is light out,” Whitford said. “We don’t really suspect anything, but don’t have the cause of origin.”
