3 arrested after overdose on Route 15

Three Tioga residents faces drug charges after one of them overdosed Tuesday on heroin in the backseat of a car on Route 15 in Lycoming Township, according to Old Lycoming Township police.

Cameron Copley, 29, of Mainesburg, recovered from the overdose after paramedics arrived and treated him at the scene in the 8200 block of Route 15, police said.

Copley was in a parked car driven by Linnette Plank, 47, of Liberty, police said, adding that emergency responders were called to investigate a drug overdose in a vehicle about 3:45 p.m.

The two, along with a second passenger, Matthew McConomy, 20, of Wellsboro, had traveled to the Williamsport area to buy a quantity of heroin, police alleged.

After buying the drugs, all three used the heroin while on their way back to Tioga County, police alleged.

The three have been charged with possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. Plank also has been charged with possession of marijuana while McConomy faces an additional count of tampering with evidence, and Copley was charged with one additional count of public drunkenness. All three have been sent a summons to appear before the district judge.
