Hepburn Street fire displaces residents, 2nd fire in 2 weeks
Several people are displaced from an apartment building after a fire in one apartment broke out shortly after 11:30 a.m. Monday at the residence at 806 Hepburn St. According to city fire Chief Todd Heckman, the firefighters noticed many alleged code violations on the property, owned by Michael Mann, and brought the city codes department to the scene — the property then was condemned. Firefighters contained the fire to a rear first-floor bedroom, according to Heckman. He added that there was a fire at the same residence two weeks ago.
