Man files complaint against DA
A Lock Haven resident has filed a complaint against Lycoming County District Attorney Eric R. Linhardt for failing to dictate a decision on a private criminal complaint after 18 months.
The complaint alleges that Donald Knisley, of 68 W. Pocahontas Trail, Lock Haven, attempted to file a private criminal complaint on March 3, 2016. Linhardt didn’t accept it, according to the complaint, but he agreed to accept it after Knisley contacted the disciplinary board.
“Rule 506 provides that a private criminal complaint shall be submitted to the Attorney for the Commonwealth, who shall approve or disapprove it without unreasonable delay,” the complaint said.
Linhardt has not indicated his decision either approving or denying the private complaint after 18 months.
