Man involved in 12-hour standoff with police waives preliminary hearing

A state constable returns Evan Justin Chapman back to the Lycoming County Prison on Tuesday morning after the 46-year-old inmate waived his preliminary hearing before District Judge Christian Frey. Chapman will face additional court action on a total of 25 criminal counts stemming from a 12-hour standoff with city police that occurred at his home at 1516 1/2 Light Street, near Textron-Lycoming, on Dec. 16. He is being held without bail.
