Robbery, assault accusations withdrawn

JERSEY SHORE — All charges against Dustin Lyle Troy were withdrawn Wednesday after the alleged victim in the case, his estranged wife, Amanda, refused to testify against him, according to Tiadaghton Valley Regional police.

Troy, 29, with no address, was charged with robbery, simple assault, endangering the welfare of a child, disorderly conduct and harassment following an incident with his wife and the couple’s 3-year-old child at the Santa Claus hut in the 100 block of South Main Street on Dec. 9.

Police withdrew the charges at the office of District Judge Jerry C. Lepley.

In another case, police also dropped charges of theft, receiving stolen property and theft from motor vehicle against Rachel Lynn Ossont after the 46-year-old woman agreed to plead guilty to a summary disorderly conduct.

Ossont, of 345 Allegheny St., was charged for allegedly stealing items from Aaron Burson’s vehicle in the 200 block of High Street on Nov. 19.

Ossont made arrangements to pay a $300 fine plus court costs.
