Four people charged with various crimes in Tioga

TIOGA — Four people will appear before district judges to face various charges in Tioga County. They are:

• Ryan Martin, 46, 24 Longview Lane, Mansfield, faces charges of simple assault and harassment following a domestic violence incident in which he allegedly struck a victim in the face with a closed fist and with a flashlight, according to state police. He was committed to county prison on $2,500 bail and scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 28 before District Judge James E. Carlson.

• Timothy Gerald Wertz, 53, 66 Coyote Lane, Blossburg, faces charges of simple assault and harassment following a domestic violence incident in which he allegedly kicked and struck a victim in the head multiple times with a closed fist, according to state police. He was committed to county prison on $5,000 bail and scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 28 before District Judge James E. Carlson.

• Justin A. Cleveland, 28, 6 Maries Lane, Wellsboro, faces charges of simple assault and harassment after a domestic violence incident in which he allegedly slapped and punched a victim in the face, choked the victim and slammed the victim into a wall, according to Wellsboro police. He was issued a summons to appear for a preliminary hearing on March 6 before District Judge Robert L. Repard.

• Chase T. Oaks, 23, 31 Court Lane, Liberty, faces charges of simple assault and harassment following a domestic violence incident in which he allegedly scraped a victim’s forehead, right elbow and right shoulder, according to state police. He was issued a summons to appear at a Feb. 27 preliminary hearing before District Judge Robert L. Repard.
