Charges for motorist found slumped in car
A Louisiana motorist found slumped over the wheel in his 1995 Honda Civic along Route 220 in Woodward Township late Monday night admitted he had just ingested heroin, according to state Trooper Kurtis Killian.
William Cody Wilson, 24, of Pineville, appeared confused when emergency responders awoke him, Killian said, adding that Wilson’s speech was slow.
In the center console, Killian spotted what appeared to be a bag of crack cocaine. Wilson had in his possession 15 packets of suspected heroin, the trooper alleged.
Wilson, who is temporarily staying in the Linden area, was arraigned before District Judge Jon E. Kemp on charges of possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of a controlled substance. During the arraignment, he admitted to being addicted to opiates. He was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $60,000 bail.
