24 charged by area law enforcement

Twenty-four people have been charged with various criminal offenses, according to court records. Those charged and the police departments involved were:

• Motorist James D. Bastian, 45, of Milton; state police; two felony counts of convicted felon not to possess a firearm, possession with intent to deliver methamphetamines and related drug and weapon offenses as a result of police discovering two guns in his pickup truck after law enforcement stopped his vehicle in the 2100 block of Warrensville Road on Monday afternoon; he was stopped and jailed by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force on a bench warrant out of Northumberland County; following his arraignment Wednesday on the new charges he was recommitted after the district judge denied bail.

• Jon E. Renforth, 26, of Dillonvale, Ohio; city police; simple assault and disorderly conduct for allegedly punching bouncer Anthony Williams in the face, knocking him unconscious at The Bar, 341 Market St., about 10:30 p.m. on Sunday; jailed in lieu $7,500 bail.

• Kenneth Bonaparte, 25, of Philadelphia; the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit; possession with intent to deliver cocaine and related offenses at Cherry Street and Oakland Avenue in the city on July 13; jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail.

• Randy Byron Lincoln, 35, of 1118 Market St.; city police; possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and possession of cocaine in the 900 block of Park Place on July 13; jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.

• Cody R. Knorr, 19, of 755 Broad St., Montoursville; Montoursville police; terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and harassment after allegedly threatening to kill neighbor Kurt Klepper with a knife during an incident outside Klepper’s home on July 11; jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail.

• Jerry T. Grow, 42, of 762 Second St.; city police; strangulation, simple assault, false imprisonment, criminal mischief and harassment following a disturbance at his home where he allegedly punched Christine Woltz several times about 1:30 a.m. July 9, and prevented her from leaving for several hours until he “passed out from the amount of alcohol he had consumed;” jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.

• James R. Emery IV, 19, of 1533 Andrews Place and 609 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore: city police; involuntary deviate sexual assault, statutory sexual assault, corrupting the morals of a minor and furnishing alcohol to a minor for allegedly engaging in sexual activity with a 14-year-old girl in the area of the 1500 block of West Third Street on June 30; jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.

• Lycoming County Prison inmate Lloyd Benjamin, 40, of 2332 1/2 W. Fourth St.; additional city police charges of two felony counts each of convicted felon not to possess a firearm and possession of a firearm with altered serial numbers for allegedly having two handguns at his home on June 26; recommitted in lieu of $75,000 bail.

• Breanna N. Allen, 19, of 1005 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore; Tiadaghton Valley Regional police; recklessly endangering and simple assault for allegedly striking a female juvenile in the head with a rock which she threw from a bridge as the girl was swimming below the bridge on Windecker Lane in Porter Township, just west of Jersey Shore, on June 25; sent a summons to appear before a district judge; the juvenile was taken to Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, due to traumatic injuries.

• Allen A. Frazier, 34, of 377 W. Third St.; state police; possession with intent to deliver heroin and related offenses in the 300 block of Memorial Avenue on June 19; jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.

• Skyler Page Andrews, 27, of Philadelphia; the county’s Narcontics Enforcement Unit; possession with intent to deliver heroin and related offenses following three alleged drug sales; one involving 12 bags on April 9; the second sale involved 24 bags on April 17 and the third sale involved the same number of bags on June 12; all the sales occurred in the city; jailed in lieu of $150,000 bail.

• John R. Cobb, 58, of 1258 Park Ave.; state police; possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and related offenses after allegedly selling cocaine from his home to a confidential informant on May 30; jailed in lieu of $125,000 bail.

• Eliza Ann Bauer, 30, of 1061 Park Ave.; Old Lycoming Township police; possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Dewey Avenue and Mill Lane on May 24; sent a summons to appear before a district judge≥

• Tyler D. Cordner, 23, of Monroeton; state police; possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Route 220 in Woodward Township on May 19; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

• Nina D. Hanford, 42, of 1925 Apple St.; city police; possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the 1100 block of West Fourth Street on May 5; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

• Alicia K. Koch, 41, of 229 W. Fourth St.; Montoursville police; recklessly endangering, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, harassment; while riding in a Billtown Cab, she allegedly wrapped her arm around the neck of the cab driver as he was driving on Interstate 180 in the borough, neatly choking him about 11:10 p.m. on May 3; the driver, who was not identified, managed to get off the interstate and call police; released on $5,000 bail.

• Michael M. Bullins, 41, of 323 Locust St.; city police; possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at his home on April 9; released on $1,500 bail.

• John K. Nickerson, 40, of Blossburg; state police; DUI, careless driving and reckless driving at West Third and Hepburn streets in the city on April 29; released on $2,500 bail.

• Mitchell T. Pope, 27, of Selinsgrove; possession of 53 bags of heroin and drug paraphernalia in the 100 block of Maynard Street on April 9; jailed in lieu of $2,500 bail.

• Jenna M. Neece, 33, 1925 Apple St.; city police; DUI, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving on Interstate 180 near the Hepburn Street interchange on April 3; released on $3,500 bail.

• Wayne S. Matthis, 60, of McElhattan; Tiadaghton Valley Regional police; making unsworn falsification to law enforcement for allegedly putting down false information on an application when he attempted to purchase a firearm at National Sporting Goods, 1241 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore; on March 26; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

• Jason T. Fern, 47, of 1213 Memorial Ave.; city police; theft by deception and receiving stolen property for allegedly failing to do repair work on Mary Ann Huffman’s car after taking from her $400 to do the repairs; also he allegedly failed to do repairs on James Ritter’s truck after accepting $750 from Ritter; a third victim, Lori Parker paid Fern $100 for tires, but he allegedly never got tires for her; the transactions occurred in the city between last summer and March of this year; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

• Lycoming County Prison inmate Robert Wayne Cummings, 38, of 478 State St., Jersey Shore; state police; felony manufacturing methamphetamines, felony possession of liquefied ammonia gas, causing or risking a catastrophe and related offenses for allegedly operating “a one-pot methamphetamine lab in the bathroom of his Nippenose Township in mid-December; already jailed on other criminal matters, recommitted in lieu of an additional $75,000 bail.

• Ryan Russell, 22, of Croton Hudson, New York; city police following a crash at West Third and Locust streets last Sept. 14; released on $3,500 bail.
