Slate Run motorcycle crash sends 1 to area trauma center

SLATE RUN — A motorcyclist was flown to a trauma center to be treated for injuries he suffered when his southbound cycle upset as he approached a bridge over Pine Creek on Route 414 about 3:15 p.m. Saturday, according to emergency responders.

The medical helicopter landed at a campground about a mile and a half south of the scene.

Firefighters from Brown Township, Black Forest, Waterville and Jersey Shore responded to the crash, which was being investigated by state police. Paramedics from Jersey Shore also responded. The cyclist’s identity and condition were not known Saturday night.
