5 people face charges in Tioga County
TIOGA — Five people either have appeared or will appear before district judges to face various charges in Tioga County. They are:
• Ronald Joseph Centrone, 24, 81 Old Mill Drive, Media, and Matthew Douglas Clements, 25, 268 Chestnut St., Media, face charges of possession of alcoholic beverages at a campground and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia stemming from an incident on July 14 at the County Bridge Campground in Ward Township. According to the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Bureau of Forestry, Centrone and Clements had spent the night at the campsite without paying and were approached by the Bureau of Forestry officer who discovered the marijuana, alcoholic beverages and drug paraphernalia. Both men have been sent summonses to appear before District Judge James E. Carlson on Oct. 3 for a preliminary hearings.
• Angela J. Keyser, 21, 4018 Cornell St., Wellsboro, and Tyler James Phipps, 20, 122 E. Main St., Knoxville, face charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia stemming from an incident on East Avenue on Aug. 19. According to Wellsboro police, Keyser’s vehicle was stopped for having a side brake light out when the officer detected the odor of marijuana. Keyser and Phipps have been sent summonses to appear before District Judge Robert L. Repard on Oct. 9 for preliminary hearings.
• Meaghan Patricia Jackson, 34, 27768 Possum Point Road, Millsboro, Delaware, faces charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia stemming from an incident at the Wellsboro Dunkin’ Donuts on Main Street on July 2. According to Wellsboro police, they received a call of an unresponsive male at that address and when they got there, Jackson was there with the man. When she attempted to leave, police called her back to find out what had happened and that’s when they discovered the marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Jackson has been sent a summons to appear before Judge Robert L. Repard on Oct. 9 for a preliminary hearing.
