Route 220 water tanker crash injures 1
The injured driver of this demolished truck tractor managed to climb out of the rig on his own after his northbound water tanker crashed on Route 220 at the Pine Creek interchange in Clinton County about 7 p.m. Wednesday, according to Avis fire officials. The driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. The water tanker overturned in the median, about 130 feet from where the truck tractor landed. Besides Avis, firefighters from Jersey Shore responded along with members from the Clinton County Emergency Management response team and a hazmat response team from Eagle Towing and Recovery from Milesburg.
