There were no reports of injuries as a result of what was believed to be gunfire on the 1500 block of Northway Road in Loyalsock Township about 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to Trooper Rebecca Parker.

Witnesses saw “two vehicles leaving the scene after the shots were heard,” Parker said in a news release. All parties involved already had left the scene when troopers arrived in the area.

It was unknown how many shots were fired or if there was more than one weapon involved. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 570-368-5700.
