11 people charged by police
Eleven people have been charged with various criminal offenses, according to court records. Those charged and the law enforcement agencies involved were:
• Nadir Edwards, 23, of Philadelphia; city police; possession with intent to deliver seven bags of heroin, possession with intent deliver a container of cocaine and related offenses near Scott and Stevens streets on Thursday; jailed in lieu of $75,000 bail.
• Graham Duvall, 28, of 248 Primrose Lane, Montoursville; South Williamsport police; burglary, felony trespassing, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief for allegedly breaking into The Bicycle Center, 909 Main St., and stealing two specialized bicycles – one valued at $3,700 and another valued at $1,900 – plus bicycle accessories on Oct. 29; jailed in lieu of $75,000 bail.
• Cynthia Betar, 59, of 617 Green St.; city police; access device fraud, theft from a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property after allegedly stealing Shenique Coates wallet from Coates’ vehicle in the 700 block of High Street on Sept. 11; she allegedly then used one of Coates’ credit cards to purchases $20 worth of merchandise; a bench warrant was expected to be filed after she failed to appear for her preliminary hearing last week.
• Travis Eiswerth, 30, of 141 Boak Ave., Hughesville; state police; DUI, false reports to law enforcement and careless driving following a crash on Rabbittown Road in Wolf Township on Sept. 8; the false reports charge stems from Eiswerth initially claiming he was a passenger in the vehicle, which was untrue, police said; this was his second DUI arrest; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
• Eddie Johnson Jr., 32, of 1955 Lycoming Creek Road; Old Lycoming Township police; DUI at Route 15 and the Foy Avenue interchange on Sept. 2; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
• Heidi White, 50, of Lamar; the county’s DUI Task Force; DUI at East Third Street and Warrensville Road in Loyalsock Township on Sept. 1; released on $5,000 bail.
• Theodore Smith, 28, and Elizabeth Hauke, 23, both of 235 Palmer Hill Road, Loyalsock Township; Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals; two counts of neglect of animal that needed veterinary care and one count of neglect of animal that needed access to a clean and sanitary shelter following an incident involving one or more dogs at their former city home in the 800 block of Memorial Avenue on Aug. 29; both released on $5,000 bail each.
• Michael Warzel Jr., 44 Penn St., Montgomery; state police; involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, corrupting the morals of a minor and indecent assault for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a female minor at least twice in Clinton Township between June 2015 and mid-June this year; released on $50,000 bail.
• Tyler Turner, 24, of Watsontown; city police; possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct in the 100 block of Via Bella on May 27; released on $5,000 bail.
• Jacqueline Rothermel, 34, of Blandon, Berks County; state Attorney General’s Office; attempting to obtain a controlled substance by fraud or deception and related offenses for allegedly attempting to remove morphine illegally from UPMC Muncy Valley Hospital while working there as a registered traveling nurse on March 31; at the time she was employed by the Medical Solutions Agency; released on $25,000 bail.
