16 charged in Lycoming County

Sixteen people have been charged with various criminal offenses, according to court records. Those charged and the law enforcement agencies involved were:

• Cynthia Betar, 59, of 617 Green St.; city police; theft from a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing Kristine Dunkleberger’s wallet from Dunkleberger’s car in the 800 block of High Street on Nov. 22; also charged with allegedly stealing a wallet from a vehicle in the 700 block of High Street (victim not identified) on Sept. 11; and also allegedly stole Emma Thompson’s purse from Thompson’s car in the 900 block of High Street on July 8; jailed in lieu of $3,500 bail.

• Bruce Jackson Jr., 24, of 513 Berger St.; the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit; possession with intent to deliver heroin and related offenses for his alleged involvement in illegal drug sales in the city on Sept. 20 and again Sept. 24; also charged with theft for taking $200 from an undercover officer in exchange for heroin on Sept. 28, but he allegedly failed to provide the controlled substance; jailed in lieu of $150,000 bail.

• Steven Lange Jr., 20, of West Grove; Pennsylvania College of Technology police; theft, receiving stolen property and recklessly endangering for alleged stealing a stop sign at Vine Avenue and Park Street on Oct. 7; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

• Seth Henry, 21, of Wernesville, and Zachery Mangan, 20, of Manheim; Penn College police; theft, receiving stolen property, recklessly endangering and disorderly conduct for allegedly stealing a stop sign at Vine Avenue and Park Street on Sept., 22; both released on $2,500 bail each.

• Thomas Barnfield, 55, of 429 Charlotte Ave., South Williamsport; South Williamsport police; terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and harassment for allegedly shouting statements, while intoxicated, inside his home that he was was going to kill his neighbors; alarming the neighbors who could hear his shouts on Sept. 12; released on $5,000 bail.

• Matthew Kayhanfar, 40, of 915 Park Ave.; city police; DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia at Fifth and Memorial avenues on Sept. 12; released on $2,500 bail on these charges, but he is jailed on matters.

• Eddie Johnson Jr., 32, of 1955 Lycoming Creek Road; Old Lycoming Township police; DUI at Route 15 and the Foy Avenue interchange on Sept. 2; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

• Michael Powers, 48, of 442 Oliver St.; city police; DUI in the 1100 block of West Fourth Street on Sept. 1; released on $3,500 bail.

• Jesse Fox, 35, of 1234 Vine Ave.; possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness in the 900 block of West Fourth Street on Aug. 31; released on $1,500 bail.

• Abraham Weisel, 30, of 66 Johnson St., Montgomery; city police; theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing 582 pounds of copper wire from the Pajama Factory, 1307 Park Ave., on Aug, 31; released on $2,000 bail.

• Mckayla Graham, 22, of Morris Run; city police; possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia at Washington Boulevard and Elizabeth Street on July 25; released on $5,000 bail.

• Chelsie Sabatino, 29; 625 Waltz Lane; city police; simple assault and harassment for allegedly assaulting Maureen Sangl in the 700 block of Clark Street on Aug. 23; released on $1,500 bail.

• Austin Hauser, 23, of 1021 High St.; city police; possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia at West Third and Rose streets on July 14; released on $2,500 bail.

• Marc Edmonds, 56, of 34 Waltz Ave.; state police; DUI, careless driving, reckless driving following crash in the 1400 block of Oakes Ave. in Loyalsock Township on June 28; released on $15,000 bail.

• Christine Hicks, 51, of 332 Campbell St.; city police; theft and forgery for allegedly stealing four checks from Virginia Barber’s apartment at 450 Center St. and cashing them for $700 between May 6 and May 31; jailed in lieu of $45,000 bail.
