2 plead guilty in district court
In separate cases, two men pleaded guilty before District Judge Christian Frey to a summary charge after city police agreed to withdraw misdemeanor charges.
Shaquan Taylor, 19, of 810 Penn St., was charged after allegedly assaulting ex-girlfriend Jamia Lockley first at the Lycoming Mall and then in the 600 block of Lycoming Street on Oct. 10.
Police dropped charges of terroristic threats and criminal mischief in exchange for Taylor pleading guilty to harassment. He made arrangements to pay $310 in fines plus court costs.
In the other case, Jacob Confer III, 41, of 730 Funston Ave., pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct after police agreed to withdraw charges of strangulation and simple assault.
The charges stem from an assault on a 14-year-old boy in the 700 block of Funston Avenue on Oct. 6, police said. Confer paid a $50 fine in full.
