30 people recently charged with various crimes

Thirty people have been charged with various criminal offenses, according to court records. Those charged and the law enforcement agencies involved were:

• Michael Wertz, 43, of 2461 Lycoming Creek Road; state police; possession with intent to deliver 23 marijuana plants, endangering the welfare of a child and related offenses for allegedly planting the plants next to his home and using a female juvenile to help him transport baggies of the controlled substance; the plants were found when a search warrant was executed at his property on Dec. 20; initially jailed, but now free on $150,000 bail.

• Fugitive Michael Betts, 36, of 1027 High St,; Lycoming County Sheriff’s Department; flight to avoid apprehension following an incident when he fled from Jiffy Lube, 1829 E. Third St., as sheriff deputies and members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force were trying to take him into custody about 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 20; he was nabbed and jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail; he is wanted by the Dane County Sheriff’s Department in Wisconsin on a felony warrant of fleeing police.

• Ehramis Chism, 27, of Philadelphia; the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit; possession with into to deliver cocaine and related offenses in the 200 block of Arlington Street in DuBoistown on Dec. 14; jailed in lieu of $300,000 bail.

• Jason Seyler, 41, of 17 Cherokee Lane; Old Lycoming Township police; unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing his girlfriend’s purse and SUV from Cherokee Lane Dec. 14; sent a summons to appear before a district judge; the vehicle, owned by Erica Dincher, was recovered at Sixth Avenue and High Street in the city on the same day.

• Wendy Knorr, 44, of 755 Broad St., Montoursville; Muncy Township police; access device fraud, theft by deception and receiving stolen property for allegedly using Caroline Dincher’s stolen credit card to make purchases at two Lycoming Mall stores on Dec. 14; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

• Samantha Turner, 29, of 2762 McCoy St.; Old Lycoming Township police; possession of tramadol, a controlled substance, without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 3700 block of Route 15 on Dec. 7; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

• Wesley Haley, 40, of Bloomsburg; city police; aggravated and simple assault, burglary, felony trepassing, terroristic threats, resisting arrest after he allegedly broke into the St. Boniface Church rectory, 326 Washington Blvd. and became confrontational when he was taken into custody by officers on Dec. 6; he was “heavily intoxicated” and also became combative while he was being treated by paramedics, kicking one paramedic multiple times in the chest and legs, and spitting at another; he allegedly threatened “to kill” everyone involved; jailed on no bail.

• Kalief Bradshaw, 30, of Philadelphia, last known local address of the 3600 block of Lycoming Creek Road; the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit; two sets of charges; possession with intent to deliver heroin and related offenses at Route 15 and Colvin Road in Old Lycoming Township on Nov. 9; possession with intent to deliver cocaine and related offenses at 1901 Grant St., Cogan Station, on Dec. 11; jailed in lieu of $500,000 bail.

• Nicole Neary, 27, of Ashland, Schuylkill County; an inmate at the state Correctional Institution at Muncy; state police; attempted escape and resisting arrest when she allegedly attempted to flee the facility by climbing an fence on the premises on Nov. 29; recommitted in lieu of $90,000 bail.

• Nicholas Hurd, 27, of Tioga; Muncy Township police; felony shoplifting for allegedly stealing a total of $1,252 worth of merchandise from Target, Lycoming Crossing, on three occasions in the last two weeks of November; he already has four shoplifting convictions; released on $10,000 bail.

• Eric Spencer, 34, of 106 Montgomery St., Montgomery; Montgomery police; simple assault and harassment for allegedly causing bruising to a 5-year-old child as a result spanking the child at Spencer’s home on Nov. 19; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

• Monica McCloskey, 42, of 2612 Grand St.; the state Game Commission; aggravated assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment following an incident with state game wardens on Old Barbours Road in the Loyalsock State Forest on Nov. 17; released on $25,000 bail.

• Rose Hilburn, 49, of Wilkes-Barre, currently an inmate at the state Correctional Institution at Muncy; state police; possession of controlled substances (codeine and oxycontin), possession of drug paraphernalia and contraband in her cell on Nov. 10; recommitted in lieu of $20,000 bail.

• Shane Gray, 39, of 1405 Beaver Lake Road, Hughesville; the county’s DUI Task Force; DUI at Elm Drive and Peterman Lane in Hughesville on Nov. 9; this was his second DUI arrest; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

• Jason Ranck, 49, of Watsontown; Muncy police; DUI on North Main Street on Nov. 4; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

• Kevin Pletz, 42, of 9491 Route 220, Hughesville; state police; indecent assault and corrupting the morals of a minor for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a female minor on at least two occasions in Shrewsbury Township during November; police allege the actions while Pletz and the victim were playing a game of “cops and robbers,” he had inappropriate contact with the girl when he searched her for “contraband,” police alleged; released on $15,000 bail.

• Sameerah Graham, 26, of 747 W. Fourth St.; Muncy Township police; felony shoplifting for allegedly stealing merchandise from Target, Lycoming Crossing, on July 26 and again on Oct. 8; released on $10,000 bail.

• Corey Lukehart, 43, of Lock Haven; the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit; possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia at Mahaffey Lane and New Lawn Avenue in Old Lycoming Township on Oct. 23; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.

• Sheena Eiswerth, 33, formerly of the 900 block of Poplar Street now living at 2159 Mosser Ave, and Brooks Garman, 29, of 1041 Dewey Ave.; state police; possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and related offenses in the 2500 block of Wilmont Drive in Loyalsock Township on Oct. 5; both jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail each.

• Michael Beer, 37, of 2115 Cummings St.; Montoursville police; theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly taking Chester Trostle’s cellphone after Trostle accidentally left it on a checkout counter at Walmart, 1015 N. Loyalsock Ave., on Oct. 9; released on $2,500 bail.

• Courtney Wasielewski, 23, of Erie, an inmate at the state Correctional Institution at Muncy; state police; false reports to law enforcement for allegedly filing a false claim that she had been sexually assaulted by another inmate at the prison on Sept. 15; recommitted in lieu of $25,000 bail.

• Natalie Shaffer, 35, of Watsontown; state police; DUI, careless driving and driving without a license in the 400 block of North Main Street in Muncy Creek Township on Sept. 14; jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail.

• David Baker, 39, of Lewisburg; the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit; possession with intent to deliver five grams of suspected cocaine and related offenses at the Lycoming Mall in Muncy Township on Sept. 13; jailed in lieu of $10,000 bail.

• Emily Best, 29, of 742 Second Ave.; city police; theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly stealing two packages off the front porch of the home of Chris Downs at 657 Second Ave. on Sept. 12; jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail; the packages had been delivered to the house by the postal service.

• Tammy Kolk, 39, of 1037 Hepburn St.; state police; DUI and careless driving at Route 118 and Old Lairdsville Road in Moreland Township on Aug. 31; this was her third DUI arrest; released on $2,500 bail.

• Joanne Kiehl, 68, of 47 W. Third St.; city police; false reports to law enforcement for allegedly calling 911 and reporting “a hostage situation” at 44 W. Fourth St knowing it was a fictitious on July 23; released on $5,000 bail.

• Dennis Russell, 47, of Milton; state police; possession of cocaine, possession of clonazepam without a prescription, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct in the 6800 block of Route 15 in Clinton Township on June 24; released on $20,000 bail.

• Krista Pardoe, 29, of 1509 Country Club Lane; state police; theft-related charged for allegedly stealing four cartons of cigarettes and two packs of lottery tickets at the Uni-Mart, 1810 Northway Road, Loyalsock Township, last Jan. 31; released on $5,000 bail.

• Anthony Harkinson, 30, whose last known address was of the 100 block of Maynard Street and is currently being held at the Lycoming County Prison on other charges; state police; theft, forgery and related offenses for allegedly stealing Amberlyn Allen’s purse from her car at 101 Leader Drive in Loyalsock Township in late October 2017, he also allegedly stole several checks from the purse and cashed him for about $4,800; recommitted in lieu of $10,000 bail.
