9 charged with various crimes

Nine people have been charged with various criminal offenses, according to court records. Those charged and the law enforcement agencies involved were:

• Calvin T. Charles, 32, of 603 Locust Street; Lycoming County District Attorney; possession with intent to deliver, criminal use of a communication facility for selling $180 worth of crack cocaine to a confidential informant at the corner of Elmira Street and Scovill Place, on May 17. He was jailed in lieu of $90,000.

• Stephen M. Vail, 65, of 721 Hepburn St., Apartment #3; Pa. office of attorney general; possession of child pornography and criminal use of a communication facility for being discovered with illicit photos of minors at his residence on May 16. He was jailed in lieu of $150,000.

• Derrick Mendel Ponds, 30, of 1619 Catherine St.; city police; possession of contraband, marijuana and drug paraphernalia for being discovered with illicit drugs at Lycoming County Prison on May 5. He was jailed in lieu of $10,000.

• Alecia Anne Wayne, of 652 Second St.; city police; simple assault and harassment for throwing two shot glasses at Dawnisha Harris at 40&8 Bar, 345 Market St., on March 31. She was released on $5,000.

• Nicholas Uzoma Etumnil, 30, unknown; Lycoming County District Attorney; possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility for selling $120 work of crack cocaine to a confidential on two occasions: 325 High Street, Apartment #1, and 400 Lycoming St., Apartment #504; on April 15 to 16. He was jailed in lieu of $250,000.

• William James Yost, 35, of Mill Hall; city police; falsely incriminating another, false identification to law enforcement and driving with a suspended licence for being discovered driving on the wrong side of the road along E. Fourth Street, on March 13. He was sent a court summons.

• Gary Knarr, 54, of 510 Lockoff Road; city police; driving under the influence and charges related to a hit-and-run at 523 E. Third St., on Feb. 22, his BAC was .223. He was sent a court summons.

• Hafiz Ar-Rahman El, 29, of 821 Baldwin St.; Lycoming County Narcotics Unit; possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility for selling $100 worth of heroine to a confidential informant along Seventh Street, on July 7, 2017 and July 18, 2017. He was jailed in lieu of $75,000.

• Sherri Lynn Leach, 49, of 735 Park Ave.; city police; possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility for exchanging 15 pills of percocet for heroin at the corner of First and Park avenues, on June 3 and June 17. She was released in lieu of $10,000.
