Lycoming County Court sentences 30 in variety of cases

Thirty people were recently sentenced in Lycoming County Court.

Two were sentenced to state prison. They are:

• Michael L. Smith, 40, of State Correctional Institution Coal Township, 7 1/2 to 15 months for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Leo S. Gardner, 43, of Williamsport, 12 to 24 months and drug & alcohol assessment for possession with intent to deliver.

Nine were sentenced to county prison. They are:

• Akeem M. Hall, 25, of Lycoming County Prison, three to 23 months, drug & alcohol assessment and 100 hours community service for delivery of a controlled substance.

• Christopher K. Tawney, 22, of Williamsport, four days to 12 months, drug & alcohol assessment, anger management, and 50 hours community service for disorderly conduct.

• Julius A. Hoffman, 19, of Williamsport, 72 hours to six months, $1,000 fine, drug & alcohol assessment, DUI education, and 50 hours community service for DUI.

• Adrian J. Dennis, 34, of Philadelphia, three to six days and $300 fine for possession of a small amount of drugs.

• Rosalie M. Hassinger, 52, of Lycoming County Prison, 75 days for disorderly conduct.

• Raymond D. Brooks, 34, of Williamsport, 12 days to 12 months and anger management for resisting arrest.

• Curtis M. Carnes, 32, two to five days and $2,000 fine for disorderly conduct.

• Jennifer L. Berkebile, 36, of Lycoming County Prison, nine to 18 months, 72 months probation, drug & alcohol assessment, and 50 hours community service for possession of a controlled substance, hindering and recklessly endangering another person.

• Devaun N. Smith, 30, of Williamsport, 11-and-a-half to 23 months, 12 months probation and $500 in fines for driving while under suspension, possession with intent to deliver and false identification.

Three were sentenced to intermediate punishment. They are:

• Abhishek S. Patel, 23, of Montoursville, electronic monitoring and drug & alcohol assessment for endangering the welfare of children.

• John E. Rice, 55, of Cogan Station, electronic monitoring, $1,000 fine and drug & alcohol assessment for DUI.

• Ryan D. Bierly, 33, of Williamsport, 12 months and electronic monitoring, drug & alcohol assessment and 25 hours community service for false identification and driving while under suspension.

Nine were sentenced to probation. They are:

• Lee R. Whittington, 24, of Williamsport, 12 months, drug & alcohol assessment and 50 hours community service for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Isaiah M. Leone, 21, of Jersey Shore, nine months, $2,500 fine and 50 hours community service for accident involving damage.

• Heather Aikey, 33, of Jersey Shore, 48 months, drug & alcohol assessment and 50 hours community service for illegal sale of a controlled substance, prostitution and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Lakisha C. Pierce, 21, of Williamsport, six months and 50 hours community service for retail theft.

• Duane A. Solomon, 41, of Williamsport, 18 months, drug & alcohol assessment and anger management for simple assault.

• Victoria Spies, 18, of Montoursville, 18 months and anger management for simple assault.

• Heather R. Moyer, 30, of New Columbia, 12 months for harassment.

• Takirah S. Reid-Lawrence, 21, of Williamsport, 24 months for forgery.

• Michael S. Shields, 35, of South Williamsport, 12 months, drug & alcohol assessment and 50 hours community service for disorderly conduct.

Seven received fines. They are:

• Sherri L. Leach, 49, of Palm Bay, Fla., $200 for possesion of a controlled substance.

• Christy L. Crowe, 48, of Williamsport, $100 for possession of a small amount of drugs.

• Daniel S. Bozochovic, of Williamsport, $100 for criminal mischief and public drunkenness.

• Ginya Golder, 34, of Hughesville, $500 for disorderly conduct.

• Carl William Vining, 62, of Montgomery, $50 for possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Mitchell L. Murphy, 18, of Scranton, $50 for possession of a small amount of drugs.

• Quayon D. Depitte, 19, of Williamsport, $100 for possession of a small amount of drugs.
