Man faces trial on alleged drug deliveries, firearms violations

A trial is being scheduled in U.S. Middle District Court for a convicted felon accused of distributing heroin and other drugs and using firearms out of an Old Lycoming Township home.

Zakhary Wayne Pryer, of 2054 Mahaffey Lane, faces a nine-count indictment, according to George J. Rocktashel, assistant U.S. attorney.

Pryer pleaded not guilty April 16 before U.S. Magistrate Judge William I. Arbuckle III.

The grand jury further indicated that on Oct. 12, 2018, and on or about Nov. 20, 2018, in Lycoming County, Pryer was in possession of a semi-automatic pistol; a .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol with an obliterated serial number and a .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol with a listed serial number, court papers said.

Rocktashel alleged Pryer used the firearms in the furtherance of drug trafficking crime.

He further was charged with possession of firearms by a convicted felon, and possession of the firearm with an obliterated serial number, according to the indictment.

A sum of $4,080 was recovered from the Mahaffey Lane property on Nov. 20, 2018, court records said.
