17 charged with various crimes in Tioga County
Seventeen people have been charged with various criminal offenses, according to court records. Those charged and the law enforcement agencies involved were:
â€¢ Jared Seth Nunemakert, 29, of 662 Walnut St., Blandon; Mansfield police; fleeing or attempting to elude officer, resisting arrest, DUI, operating a vehicle without valid inspection, traffic control signals and driving with an expired license. Nunemakert is accused of sitting in his car at a green light until beeped at by a car behind him, then leading a chase in an attempt to flee the police on East Wellsboro Street in Mansfield on Aug. 3. He was denied bail.
â€¢ John C. Gleason, 30, 4889 Lambs Creek Road, Mansfield; Wellsboro police; possession of a controlled substance, use or possession of drug paraphernalia, suspended drivers license, operating vehicle without valid inspection; after allegedly driving a badly damaged car with an expired license and having a Ziploc bag of methamphetamine in his wallet on Buena Vista Street in Wellsboro on July 27. He was sent a court summons.
â€¢ Michael Howard Patterson, 31, of 692 Bloom Station Road, Lawrenceville; Mansfield police; endangering welfare of children; after allegedly found unresponsive after shooting two bags of heroin in front of minor child in car at 133 N. Main St. in Mansfield on July 26. He was sent a court summons.
â€¢ Chester Lee Johnson, 30, of 2060 Route 362, Wellsboro; Wellsboro police; DUI of 0.16 or higher; after allegedly driving without headlights on for 130 feet and turning left over a curb for 60 feet on July 20. Allegedly his BAC was 0.162. He was sent a court summons.
â€¢ Jerome Harvey Castle, 50, of 653 Back Road, Roaring Branch; state police; simple assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person; after allegedly drinking all day and loading a gun in front of a woman. He allegedly also threatened to shoot troopers at his residence on July 13. He was held in lieu of $10,000.
â€¢ Randy A. Harlan, 58, of 920 Factory Road, Cogan Station; state police; DUI, careless driving, reckless driving, general lighting requirements; after allegedly consuming three alcoholic beverages and driving a car with an inoperative third break light along Route 414 in Liberty Township on July 13. He was sent a court summons.
â€¢ Ronald Duare Updike, 55, of Blossburg; Blossburg police; criminal trespass; after allegedly entering Joshe Mejia’s apartment on Main St. while under the influence of alcohol and while Mejia was not home on July 11. He was held in lieu of $5,000.
â€¢ Justin Anthony Cleveland, 29, of 105 Sugar Bush Road, Wellsboro; Wellsboro police; DUI, unregistered vehicle; after allegedly skidding through a stop sign on Pearl Street with an expired license and a BAC of 0.214 on July 4. He was sent a court summons.
â€¢ Michael Cobbs Jr., 29, of Ontario, New York; state police; fleeing or attempting to elude officer, motorcycle registration plate, classes of license, driving on roadways laned for traffic, turning movements requiring signals, maximum speed limits, reckless and careless driving; after allegedly driving 123 miles-per-hour along Route 15 on a motorcycle, weaving between motorists and illegal lane changes without signals on June 23. He was sent a court summons.
â€¢ Mary Anne Thomas, 75, of Arnot, Pennsylvania; state police; terroristic threats and harassment; after allegedly being frustrated with the victim because she could not take her to the store. Thomas allegedly put the victim’s stuff outside for her to gather and came outside with what Thomas said was a “BB gun” in Bloss Township near Thomas’ residence on June 12. She was sent a court summons.
â€¢ Billy Chatman Frawley, 44, of 70 E. Elmira St., Mansfield; Mansfield police; theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property; after allegedly stealing Kerry Elsasser’s comforter from the washing machine at the laundromat on 15 E. Main St. in Mansfield on June 1. He was sent a court summons.
â€¢ Martin Alan Blasz, 28, of 26 Cross Lane, Covington; state police; DUI, windshield obstruction and wipers, display of registration and careless driving; after allegedly having the driver’s side window tinted, no rear registration plate and medical marijuana and a metal grinder in the center console of the car on Route 15 north of the Liberty Township line on May 31. He was sent a court summons.
â€¢ Anthony G. Bissinger, 72, of Liberty; state police; DUI, driving on roadways laned for traffic and occupant protection; after allegedly causing a single vehicle crash into a guide rail after consuming six beers on West Plank Road on Route 414 on May 4. Allegedly his BAC was 0.202. He was sent a court summons.
â€¢ Lee Clayton Starkweather, 57, of 202 N. Williamson Road, Blossburg; state police; DUI, driving on roadways laned for traffic, driving on right side of roadway, careless driving; after allegedly crossing the fog line three times, the center line twice, and weaving within own lane around Gulick Street in Blossburg on May 1. Allegedly his BAC was 0.131. He was sent a court summons.
â€¢ Phillip Joseph Greene, 25, of 1471 Johnson Hill Road, Mansfield; state police; criminal mischief, trespass by motor vehicle; after allegedly swerving to miss a deer and ending up in a field 100 feet out doing multiple “doughnuts” causing $2,500 worth of damage to land at 1196 West Hill Road on March 31. He was sent a court summons.
â€¢ Alexander Robert Strohecker, 25, of 64 Prospect St., Mansfield; Mansfield police; forgery in writing, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property; after allegedly overdrawing his account at First Citizens Bank, withdrew $140 from his son’s account without permission, and presented to a teller knowing the signature on the check was forged drawing $250 and $350 from Robert Strohecker’s account on Jan. 27. He was sent a court summons.
â€¢ Richard A. Fenstermacher, 43, of Sabinsville; state police; DUI, careless driving, restriction on alcoholic beverage; after allegedly backing into a ditch between a parking lot and a roadway along Route 287 on Jan. 18. He was sent a court summons.
