Mansfield council OKs amendment for park zoning
MANSFIELD – After several months of discussion and presentations about creating a zoning overlay to facilitate construction of a new housing development at the I-99 business park, borough council here unanimously approved the measure Wednesday.
The zoning overlay amendment will make it possible for Joe Grace, park owner, to proceed with plans for a housing development and any other development that wants to come in, but only on property that is adjacent to Interstate 99.
The overlay will be about 300 feet into an R-1 that borders an R-3 adjacent to I-99 only.
A public hearing will be held April 10, just prior to council’s regular meeting at 7 p.m., about the ordinance amendment. Also on the agenda at the hearing will be a request to change the zoning on Meadow Street to accommodate a bed and breakfast that Bill and Marcia Waldman want to put in at the site of the former Kuhl’s Nursery.
