One-half of meth making couple sentenced in Tioga County Court
WELLSBORO – Ten people were sentenced in Tioga County Court Monday including Keri S. Preston, 34, of Tioga, the wife of Amos S. Preston, whose next county court appearance is set for March 25.
Keri Preston was sentenced to five years treatment based intermediate punishment with 1-12 years in Tioga County Prison for manufacture, delivery and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.
She was given credit for 216 days time served followed by probation, and must pay a $1,000 fine.
The Prestons were charged by Lawrenceville police with operating a meth lab out of their home at 43 State St., Lawrenceville, while four children under the age of 18 were present last August.
Officers executed a search warrant at the residence Aug. 11 and found items and ingredients commonly used to make meth, along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Also sentenced to county jail were:
Daryl D. Abplanalp, 22, of Huntingdon, 6-12 months for possession of drug paraphernalia, 101 days credit for time served, $150 fine.
Cary R. McNeely, 26, of Douglasville, five years Intermediate Punishment with 1-90 days in jail for driving under the influence of intoxicants, credit for one day time served and probation, $1,500 fine.
Sentenced to probation were:
Brian S. Kizer, 32, of Mansfield, 12 months for possession of a controlled substance, $200 fine.
Deborah A. Merrick, 51, of the borough, 12 months for disorderly conduct.
Scott W. House, 39, of Osceola, six months for defiant trespass, $75 fine.
Sentenced to Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition were:
Jason A. Greenfield, 20, of the borough, 12 months for DUI.
Jason P. Gile, 28, of the borough, 12 months for theft and receiving stolen property.
Robert E. Hoyles, 49, of Corning, N.Y., 12 months for DUI
Penelope L. Smith, 53, of Hornell, N.Y., 9 months for DUI.
