Renovo woman, York Springs man killed in Clinton County crash

LOCK HAVEN – A Renovo woman and York Springs man were killed Saturday evening in Clinton County.

State police report that Rick C. Trimmer, 42, was pronounced dead by Deputy Coroner Zach Hanna at Bucktail Medical Center following a crash on Route 120 in Noyes Township, just before 9 p.m.

Trooper Timothy Eiler said that the driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash – Maggie Lee Clemente, 20, of Renovo, also was killed. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Trimmer’s wife, Micole Trimmer, 35, was released from Geisinger Medical Center on Monday, said hospital spokeswoman Amanda O’Rourke.

Micole Trimmer was airlifted from Bucktail Medical Center to the Danville facility with injuries of unknown severity Saturday, police said.

Police said Clemente, driving a 2012 Suzuki Kizashi, was traveling west when the vehicle abruptly swerved across into the oncoming lane and struck Trimmer’s 2013 Ford F-150 vehicle head-on.

Clemente’s Suzuki traveled back across the road, striking an embankment and landing on the road.

After being struck, Trimmer’s truck left the road, and struck a Norfolk Southern train car and then hit a utility pole off the south side of the roadway, police said.

Both Clemente and Micole were wearing seat belts, but Trimmer was not, police said. The cause of the crash still was unknown Monday.
