3 charged with drunken driving
MANSFIELD – Three people were charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants recently.
According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson and District Judge Rob Repard’s offices, they are:
Donald R. Lee, 49, of 8475 North Elk Run Road, by borough police following a traffic stop July 21 on West Wellsboro Street.
He also was charged with disorderly conduct because police said he resisted the officer’s commands and resisted getting into the patrol car.
He was committed in lieu of $5,000 bail, and later released after posting bail. His preliminary hearing was continued to Aug. 14.
Alfred J. Richards, 67, of 671 Canada Road, Covington, by state police following a traffic stop April 10 on South Main Street. He was issued a summons to appear at an Aug. 7 preliminary hearing.
Nathan R. Ayers, 20, of 2136 Newtown Hill Road, by state police after he crashed his car June 16 on Route 249, Middlebury Township.
He also was charged with underage drinking. He was issued a summons to appear at an Aug. 27 preliminary hearing.
