Mansfield Library holding 10th garden party

MANSFIELD – The Mansfield Free Public Library will hold its 10th annual outdoor garden party Sunday.

The garden party, held under a tent on the grounds of the Wren’s Nest Restaurant, will be from 2 to 5 p.m.

According to Alice Gottschall, a library Friends board member, proceeds are used to support the library.

“This year we are celebrating a decade of successful fundraisers put on by the Wren’s Nest by using our recycled books for many of our decorations including table runners, flower holders and also picture frames,” she said.

Pictures covering the past 10 years also will be displayed.

Music will be provided by Over Easy, a string trio with Bob Rubin on mandolin, Steve Ziemak on guitar and Dave Bush on cello.

“The one thing that never changes is the delicious food. From the moment you arrive a variety of appetizers are butlered on trays,” she said. The event also includes a buffet and desserts.

Tickets may be purchased at the library or the Wren’s Nest. For more information, call 662-3850.
