Mansfield woman, 27, dies in Sunday crash

A woman was killed late Sunday night in a one-car crash near Mansfield and state police at Lamar released the identity of the Florida motorcyclist killed Saturday morning in their coverage area.

In Tioga County’s Richmond Township, Natasha Nicole Stanfield, 27, of Mansfield, was pronounced dead at the scene after her 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser struck an embankment and overturned on Brooklyn Road, about a half a mile north of Spencer Road about 10:45 p.m., police said.

Stanfield was ejected from the car as it overturned, police said.

In Clinton County’s Greene Township, Bernard J. Demko, 55, of Ocala, Fla., was killed when he lost control of his motorcycle about 11 a.m. Saturday.

As the cycle rolled, Demko was thrown from the unit, police said. Demko was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

In a third crash, Joshua D. Hendershot, 27, of Jersey Shore, was admitted to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville with injuries he suffered when his car struck two embankments on Pine Woods Road in Limestone Township about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, state police said.

Geisinger was unable to provide a condition report on Hendershot Monday night.
