Police investigate burglary in Westfield
WESTFIELD – State police said someone forcibly entered and damaged a Main Street residence and stole items from it last month. The thefts and damage are estimated at between $10,000 to $15,000, police said.
A window was pried open at the 621 E. Main St. residence between Oct. 21 and 28, along with a rear porch door. The perpetrators removed copper wires from the basement and all the hot water baseboard heating coils from each room of the residence, police said.
They also removed a washer, dryer, gas range, snowblower, push mower, gas mower and plow, police said.
