139th Troy Draft Horse Show nears

TROY – The 139th Troy Draft Horse Show will be held at 10 a.m. July 20 at Alparon Park on Route 14, just north of here.

Admission and parking is free.

The show starts with the halter and the youth showmanship classes.

Other classes to follow are the riding, cart classes and team hitches, starting with the four-horse hitch.

The show concludes with the fun classes, which are the cart obstacle and the feed scurry.

The Troy Band Boosters will run a concession stand throughout the day.

Area sponsors allow show organizers to offer winnings for each class and extra prizes as well.

The judge this year is Jim Emo and the ring master is Laura Heller.

Exhibitors can register beginning at 8 a.m.
