The market information in this report is collected through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Quality Systems Assessment’s Livestock Auction Market Reporting program under the supervision and oversight of USDA Livestock and Grain Market News.

Compared to last week’s sale, slaughter cows sold steady to firm. Cattle supply included 17 steers and heifers, 75 slaughter cows, six bulls and 30 feeder cattle.

Choice 2-3, 1,240-1,414 pounds, $90.50-$92

Slaughter Holstein Steers:

Choice 2-3, 1,262-1,430 pounds, $80-$83

Select 2-3, 1,188-1,472 pounds, $75-$78

Slaughter Cows:

Breakers, 75-80 percent lean, average dressing, $55 to $59; high dressing, $60.50-$62.50

Boners, 80 to 85 percent lean, average dressing, $50-$55; high dressing, $56.50-$57.50

Lean, 85 to 90 percent lean, average dressing, $47-$52; high dressing, $53-$54; low dressing, $40 to $46.
