Songfest, ice cream social scheduled
LINDEN – Lycoming Christian Church, 20 Chapel Hill Road, will hold a Celebration of Freedom Songfest at 6 p.m. There will be an ice cream social after the songfest. For more information, call the church office at 322-9940.
Indoor yard sale
St. Luke Lutheran Preschool will hold its 15th annual indoor yard sale from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. both days at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 1400 Market St. Baked goods and lunch (takeouts available) will be available. All proceeds benefit the preschool.
WATSONTOWN – Watsontown United Methodist Church, 1319 Eighth Street Drive, will hold its annual blueberry festival from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. featuring displays by 38 vendors. HILLSGROVE – The annual Firecracker Bash will be held at the Hillsgrove Fire Hall from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., to benefit the Hillsgrove United Methodist Church.
Ron Hostetler to speak
Christian Business Men Connection presents Ron Hostetler, author, speaker and former Penn State University football standout from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Williamsport Holiday Inn, 100 Pine St. Hostetler will share how he developed a passion for football and for life. WATSONTOWN – A free fellowship meal will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 6590 Musser Lane, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. featuring chicken corn soup.
WATSONTOWN – Watsontown United Methodist Church, 1319 Eighth Street Drive, will hold its Shepherd’s Kitchen free dinner at 11 a.m. On the same day, Joseph’s Closet makes free clothing available for the community at the former church building on Fourth Street. Doors open at 8 a.m.
Ron Brewer in concert

Ham and scalloped potato dinner
LIBERTY – A ham and scalloped potato dinner will be held starting at 11 a.m. at Liberty High School after the Blockhouse Church service, sponsored by Salem Ladies Aid and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children.
Ice cream social
Garden View Church of Christ, 1941 Princeton Ave., will hold its annual ice cream social following the regular morning service at 10:30 a.m. Special entertainment and Christian music will be provided by Carl and Opal Schlappi.

Richard Kiser in concert
OVAL – Guitarist Richard Kiser, who has worked with some of the biggest names in Nashville, will present an outdoor concert, rain or shine, at Oval United Methodist Church, 6796 South Route 44, at 7 p.m. A “jam with Richard” session will be held at 6 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs. Community yard sale
AVIS – Avis United Methodist Church, 215 Prospect Ave., will serve vegetable, and chicken noodle soup, hot sausage sandwiches, barbecue, hot dogs and drinks from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. during the community yard sale. There also will be a baked goods sale and book table.
Bethel Linden Presbyterian Church, 2758 Bottle Run Road, will hold its annual strawberry festival from 4-6:30 p.m. In addition to strawberry shortcake and sundaes there also will be hot turkey and barbecue sandwiches, hot dogs, salads and homemade pies.
