Perogi sales to start
The Auxiliary of Holy Cross Orthodox Church, 1725 Holy Cross Lane in Loyalsock Township, will begin a new a new season of monthly perogi sales. Normally held the first Friday of each month, the first sale will be Sept. 6 with pickup in the church’s Fellowship Center from noon to 3 p.m. Orders should be placed by the prior Wednesday by calling the parish office at 322-3020.
Beatenbos in concert

Thrift shop reopens
Family Thrift Shop at the Fairfield United Methodist Church, 833 Fairfield Road in Montoursville, will reopen from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-noon Saturday with a new supply of fall and winter clothing and accessories. All summer items are free.
Arts and crafts show
JERSEY SHORE – Trinity United Methodist Church, 1407 Allegheny St., will hold its 14th annual arts and crafts show from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the fellowship hall at the Grove Street entrance. Lunch will be available.
Tractor ride and pork sandwich dinner
WATSONTOWN – Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10275 Route 44, will hold its third annual tractor ride and pork sandwich dinner. Rides leave Rovenalt Acres at 10 a.m. and dinner will be available between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Cost is $15 registration to ride (includes one dinner) or $8 for dinner along. Evangelist featured speaker
LOGANTON – Evangelist Ken Lynch, of Taylors, N.C., will be the featured speaker during the 9 and 10:15 a.m. and 1 p.m. services at Mt. Pleasant Bible Church, 4561 Long Run Road, 2.5 miles north of Loganton along Route 477. A lunch will be served at noon. Meetings will continue at 7 p.m. Monday through Wednesday. Evangelist to speak

HUGHESVILLE – Hughesville Baptist Church will celebrate its 123rd anniversary during the 10:15 a.m. worship service with former pastor Jim Waugh serving as the guest speaker. There will be special music with a tureen lunch and time of sharing to follow.
Community picnic set

Memorial service set
MUNCY – The sixth annual memorial service honoring those at rest in the Webster Cemetery, adjoining the Huntersville United Methodist Church, 5263 Rabbitown Road, will be held at 10:30 a.m. A light luncheon will follow the service.
Fall kick-off slated

The Rev. Charles V. Daniels Sr. will be installed as a bishop in the New Life Pentecostal Churches International Fellowship during a 3 p.m. service at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 527 Park Ave.
PENNSDALE – Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Road, will hold an all-you-can-eat buffet catered by Springman’s Country Store, of Pennsdale, from 4-7 p.m. The menu features pulled pork barbecue and spit fired barbecue chicken. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $5 for children (ages 5-10) and free for children under 5 years. Takeouts are available and cost $10 each.

TIVOLI – The Revs. Michael Gingerich and Thomas Kaden will speak about the non-profit counseling and spiritual guidance service they founded called “Someone to Tell it To” at 1 p.m. at Tivoli United Methodist Church, 2 miles north of Picture Rocks along Route 220. Gingerich, of Hershey, is a former pastor of the Picture Rocks parish.
