Christmas lessons and carols

Trinity Episcopal Church, 844 W. Fourth St., will hold a service of Christmas lessons and carols at 8 and 10 a.m. Both services include readings from Holy Scripture and prayers, and the 10 a.m. service features special music of the Christmas season.

Family thrift shop open

Fairfield United Methodist Church, 833 Fairfield Church Road, will hold a family thrift shop with everything half price from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday.

Family style supper

LOGANTON – Albright United Methodist Church, Main Street, will hold a family style supper from 4-6:30 p.m. featuring fried ham. Cost is $8.50 for adults. Takeouts available.

Daniel’s Closet a free clothing ministry, will be open from 9-11 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1101 Washington Blvd.

25th annual cantata slated

The 25th annual Christmas Cantata by the Seventh-day Adventist Church choir, under the direction of Sandy Spencer, will take place at 7 p.m. The church choir will be joined by the children’s choir and special guests David and Jackie Reinwald also will join with the combined choir. The church is at 201 S. Market St. in South Williamsport. A free-will offering will be collected during the performance and refreshments will be available after the program.


Eaken Trio to perform

Christ Episcopal Church, 426 Mulberry St., will host the world-famous Eaken Piano Trio in a free concert offered as a benefit to the Lycoming County United Way at 4 p.m.. A free-will offering will be received and a reception will follow the program. Call 570-322-8160 for more information.

Bell choir to perform

HUGHESVILLE – The Hughesville United Methodist Charge bell choir “The Heavenly Notes” will perform at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Methodist Church, 148 S. Main St.

Play presentation

Winter Bible Day Camp

MILTON – Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 Mahoning St., will hold a Winter Bible Day Camp from 9 a.m.-noon for children age 4 to fifth grade. MILL HALL – The Mill Hall Church of Christ, 205 Main St., will hold its fifth annual “Walk Though Bethlehem” from 6-9 p.m. Friday and 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Saturday. Christmas cantata

LINDEN – The Pine Run United Methodist Church choir will present a cantata titled “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, and again at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, during the worship service. The church is at 1719 Pine Run Road, Linden, 1.7 miles north of Route 220.

Community Santa breakfast set

AVIS – Avis United Methodist Church, 215 Prospect Ave., will hold a Santa breakfast for the community from 8:30-10:30 a.m. A free breakfast will be served and Santa will visit and hand out gifts to the children.

Celebration Choir to perform

The Celebration Choir of Faith Wesleyan Church, 1033 Tucker St., will perform “More Than a Story” at 4 p.m. The production will include a guest appearance by the St. Paul Calvary Bell Choir. An offering will be received.

Musical drama scheduled

MUNCY – Grace Baptist Church, 5471 Clarkstown Road, will hold a dramatic musical “Journey to the Manger” at 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. It’s time to take a journey to the Depression era Italy during the Renaissance the streets of England, a simple little church in Austria, the manger and finally back to the 21st century as the main character, Nathan, discovers the true meaning of Christmas. Admission is free and nursery care is provided.

Christmas candlelight service

Shiloh Baptist Church, 433 Walnut St., will hold its annual Christmas candlelight service at 4 p.m., sponsored by the Women’s Harmony Auxiliary. The choir is under the direction of Greg Martin. Refreshments will be served.

Christmas concert with Nick Biddle
