Special speaker scheduled

MANSFIELD – Pastor Randy Valimont, of the Griffin First Assembly Church in Griffin, Ga., will be the guest speaker at 10 a.m. at Church of the New Covenant, 310 Extension St. During Valimont’s ministry more than 20,000 souls have dedicated their lives to Jesus Christ through the ministries of the church, which has grown from 400 to more than 4,200 in attendance. Valimont has been featured on the Injoy Life Club, the 700 Club, American Family Radio, Global Pastors Network and Trinity Broadcasting Network and is the nephew of the founding Pastor of Church of the New Covenant.

Seder Meal scheduled

Ohev Sholom Congregation, 1501 Cherry St., invites the community to its annual annual Passover Community Seder with services at 6:45 p.m. and the Seder to take place immediately thereafter. Passover is one of the major Jewish holidays of the year and commemorates the freeing of the Jewish People from the Land of Egypt and their becoming a nation as told in the Book of Exodus in the Bible. The Seder is an annual retelling of the story followed by a sumptuous holiday meal. This year’s Seder will be led by Rabbi Joel Kessler and will be catered by Boscov’s A La Carte Kosher Catering.
