SUNDAY

Hymn sing set

WATSONTOWN – A summer Sunday hymn sing will be held at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 6590 Musser Lane. Homemade ice cream with toppings will be available following the hymn sing.

Christmas in July

LAMAR – The Sky Family, of Prince Edward Island, will present Christmas in July – a Celtic Christmas concert – at 7 p.m. at Lamar Lighthouse Camp, Route 64.

Clothes closet open

Little Ones Clothes Closet is open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesdays at the Castellano Center, 320 Park Ave. Free children’s clothing is available for newborns to size 6. Donations welcome. (St. Joseph the Worker Parish).

WEDNESDAY

All-you-can-eat buffet

PENNSDALE – Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church, 658 Village Road, will hold an all-you-can-eat buffet catered by Springman’s Country Store from 4-7 p.m. This month’s menu features pulled pork barbecue and spit-fried chicken. Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children (ages 5-10) and free for children under 5. Takeouts are available for $10 each.

FRIDAY

Fish fry

Christ Community Worship Center, 436 W. Fourth St., will hold a fish dinner from noon-6 p.m. Cost is $7.50 per dinner.

Noels to lead an evening of worship

Jonathan and Amanda Noel, who have written and toured with many of today’s top Christian artists, will lead an evening of worship at 7 p.m. at Light and Life Chapel, 1680 Four Mile Drive.

Pre-school registration

TURBOTVILLE – Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 39 Paradise St., is accepting applications for its pre-school program. The class primarily is designed for children who turn 4 by Sept. 1; however, 3 year olds may be placed if there are openings at the deadline for registration on Aug. 1. The class meets from 9-11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and is taught by Tracy Rhoades and assisted by Jennifer Wooland. Free clothing exchange

A free clothing exchange will be held from 8-11 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 101 W. Southern Ave. in South Williamsport. Park free in the church parking lot across the street from the church. Bring clothes to exchange, or if nothing to bring, come anyway to see what you can use. Clothing for all seasons is available, as well as accessories.

Holy Spirit Parish Fair set

LOCK HAVEN – Holy Spirit Parish, 3 E. Walnut St., will hold its third annual fair from 5-9:30 p.m. daily. Food booths open at 5 p.m. and games at 6 p.m. Live entertainment will feature Snug on Thursday, Dixie Land on Friday and Loose Cannons on Saturday. A Mass of Thanksgiving will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at St. Agnes Church. Rain date is noon-6 p.m. July 27.

Family Fun Fest set

LEWISBURG – A free family fun fest, with special guests Caz Russell and his trained dog, Chilli, will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Lewisburg Bible Church, 311 Hospital Drive, 0.8 mi behind Evangelical Hospital. Daniel’s Closet open

TIVOLI – The Christian Ladies Group will meet at 1 p.m. at Tivoli United Methodist Church, 2 miles north of Picture Rocks along Route 220. Thomas Paternostro will speak on gardening in colonial times.

Blueberry festival

MONTGOMERY – St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church, Route 405, will hold a blueberry festival from 3-7 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Mason Moyer family (Mason suffers from a severe heart problem) and Ashley Winder for Crohn’s Disease. There will be food, bingo, basket raffle and from 3-5 p.m. Chantilly Lace, a 50 and 60s band, will perform and from 6-7 p.m. the Montgomery Area High School musical group Virtuoso will perform. Bring your lawn chair.

Blueberry festival

FARRAGUT – Farragut Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, along Route 864 near the intersection with Route 87, will hold its annual blueberry festival from 4-7 p.m.

Camp meeting set

Stabler’s Grove Camp Meeting will be held from 7-9 p.m. in the majestic wooded mountain top setting outside of Salladasburg. This year, Evangelist LeRoy Wion, an ordained pastor of the Wesleyan Church and a commissioned officer in the American Rescue Workers, will be the featured speaker. Mother-daughter brunch set

A mother-daughter brunch will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. at Community Baptist Church, Route 87 North, in Montoursville. Hosted by the Christian Women’s Club of Williamsport, affiliated with Stonecroft Ministries, the brunch will feature Jean Bisnett, of The Best is Yet to Come; Donna Bridge, of Kingdom Kidz Inc.; and sololist Winnie Schweikart. LINDEN – Registration deadline is July 18 for the July 26 Mom’s Morning Out at Lycoming Christian Church, 20 Chapel Hill Road. The free event from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. includes lunch, snacks, games and fun. Jack Zimmerman, a Messianic Jewish Rabbi of one of the largest Messianic Congregations in the country, Tree of Life in Phoenix, Arizona, and also the staff evangelist for the Jewish Voice Ministries International, will speak at 7 p.m. at The GAP Fellowship, 312 Maynard St. Zimmerman is a former stand-up comedian with an engaging wit and dynamic speaking style.
