Trinity Episcopal Church, 844 W. Fourth St., celebrated its 150th anniversary with two worship services on Nov. 6, followed by a banquet and program at the Genetti Hotel grand ballroom. The Rt. Rev. Audrey Cady Scanlan presided at both services.

A baptism was held at the 8 a.m. service and special music, including a reunion choir, was held at the 10 a.m. service. The banquet featured remarks by Matt Rebeck (junior warden), the Rev. Andrew M. France, Jr.  (rector of Trinity from 1984-2007), the Rev. Veronica Donohue Chappell (curate/administrator of Trinity from 1993 to 2002), the Rev. Kenneth E. Wagner-Pizza (rector of Trinity from 2008) and the Rt. Rev. Audrey Cady Scanlan (Bishop of the Diocese of Central PA).

A citation of recognition was presented by Commissioner Rick Mirabito on behalf of the commissioners of Lycoming County.  A video featuring interviews of longtime members of Trinity as well as comments from new and younger members was presented and historical pictures from the past 150 years were shown.

The strolling strings provided music during the meal and the afternoon concluded with music and dancing featuring music from each decade.

The final event in the yearlong 150th anniversary celebration will be the Festival of Lessons and Carols at 4 p.m. Dec. 11.
