Ecumenical luncheon

United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. On Wednesday, Laurie Weinreb-Welch, family consumer services educator for the Penn State Extension will talk about how to plan meals that are “Totally Veggies.”Luncheons include the serving of a catered $6 lunch beginning at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available until 1:30 p.m. in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees should call United Churches at 570-322-1110 to help the caterer know how to prepare.

Devotion line

The United Churches telephone devotion line is available 24 hours a day by calling 570-322-5762. The devotionalist next week will be Dorothy Wagner, a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
